MEMORISE – To commit to memory; to learn by heart.

When we memorise God’s Word,it is received by our conscious mind. It then drops down into our sub conscious mind. Consequently when we find ourselves in difficult circumstances we will find the words we memorised are recalled up from our sub conscious into our conscious mind enabling us to put them into action in our lives.
I beleive this is the meaning of Prov 7:1 My son, store up my commands within you. David said in Ps 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart. Our heart (mind) becomes a memory bank for God’s word; and it’s this memory bank that the Holy Spirit draws on to give us the word we need at the time we need it.
Like anything,memorisation is hard work and requires persistance and determination.Try it and you’ll see it works!
