Grace Waves Devotional

Zech 4:7-9 Zerubbabel shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of "Grace, grace to it!" Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying: "The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it."

In this portion of scripture we see that God has called Zerubbabel to lay the foundation of the temple, to rebuild the temple and to put in place the top or capstone of the temple.

He was to build it all from start to finish.

Zerubbabel is a picture of the Lord Jesus building the spiritual temple of God, the Church!

He is the foundation stone of the early Church. (1 Cor 3:11) He is also the builder of the Church for He says, "I will build my Church." (Mt 16:18) Lastly, Jesus will put in place the capstone, that is, He will bring the Church to completion in preparation for His second coming! (Col 1:18)

When Zerubbabel brought out the capstone to complete the temple, the people shouted out, "Grace to it! Grace to it!"

This is significant for us believers when we consider the grace revolution that is sweeping round the global Church today like a great tsunami wave!

Why is this? People are so desperate to come out of religion, legalism and bondage into the glorious liberty of the sons of God! (Rom 8:19)

It's my belief that this grace movement is the capstone of Christ's temple the Church, and is bringing it to completion in preparation for Christ's second coming!

This book of Grace Waves is playing a small part in the restoration of God's grace in the life of the Church!

Thank You.
